Summer Reading Contest, Make a Splash
Read to WIN! Earn points for every page you read...Bonus points for reading 30 pages in a week and an extra 20 bonus points for solving a riddle. The participants with the most points at the end of the program wins the Grand Prize of an MP3 Player. All contest points are final as of August 7th at 1 pm. The Status and History of the Eastern Coyote in New York State
Lecture by Gordon Batcheller, N.Y.S. Department of Environmental Conservation section head in the Bureau of Wildlife. Mr. Batcheller's lecture will include an overview of coyote biology and life history as well as an examination of the many management problems that DEC faces when dealing with coyotes in New York.February 19-20, Friday & Saturday, 9am to 4:00pm

Wine Tasting at Friends Lake Inn
The Friends of the Town of Chester Library will hold a Wine and Cheese Tasting and Silent Auction at the Friends Lake Inn, in Chestertown. The silent auction will feature the donated works of local artiists. This is an annual event that features great wines from the award winning Friends Lake Inn wine cellar.
